Coliseum Block
Coliseum Block is a single vineyard, single block release from the Hossfeld vineyard. This beautiful vineyard is tucked in the steep hills of Soda Canyon. Henry Hossfeld planted this breathtaking vineyard almost thirty years ago—using dynamite as his shovel he developed this steep rocky terrain one vine at a time. The density and weight of this wine merits almost three years in barrel here at Arkenstone.
Sadly we lost this vineyard in the 2017 fires. The vineyard has since been replanted and we look forward to working with the Hossfeld’s again once the vines are ready.

Amoenus Vineyard
A multitude of slopes, exposures, and volcanic soils dominate this remote and rolling vineyard and give us many fingerprints of place. The higher elevations and exposures in this part of the valley are subject to varying weather patterns and diurnal shifts. Warm, late summer daytime temperatures and cooler nights allow the wines to achieve both ripeness and balanced acidity. We were presented with this great opportunity to begin working with this Vineyard in 2018 and absolutely fell in love. Farmed by winemaker Peter Heitz this is the only westside vineyard we currently work with making it a great addition to our eastern hillside dominant portfolio.

Heimark Vineyard
We have been working with the Heimark’s since 2010 and we are very excited to now have a single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon dedicated to this site. Tucked on top of a mountain perch just north of Arkenstone sits the Heimark Vineyard. Beautifully nuanced fruit is the result of this southwest-facing hillside vineyard planted on an ancient landslide. The resilient vines strive like native plants, seeking water through deep layers of volcanic rock and graphite. This results in intensely flavored wine with fine tannins, which develop profound complexity with age.
